One more day… November 6, 2006
I’m out of town until tomorrow night, so this will be a short post…
First, good luck to all those candidates out there.
If you have never run before, and if you ran as hard as I did (and many other candidates), today (Monday) is a difficult day. After all, there is pretty much nothing else you can do. Most will be doing some sign-waving with the dozens of other candidates out there, you’ve already bought all the media you could buy, so you simply are waiting on tomorrow.
Listen, guys and gals, tomorrow night is almost here. If you have never run before, after the polls close, you will have a great feeling come over you. If you have given it your all, if you can honestly look yourself in the mirror and say you’ve done everything you possible could to win, then you’ll have a great feeling that there is simply nothing else you can do.
While it’s nerve-wracking waiting for the results, just keep focused that you did everything you could and now it’s up to the voters.

The Democrats tomorrow night are having a good “old-fashioned” political rally. Does that mean they are breaking out the whiskey and cash for all in attendance?

Thanks for all the emails and calls on not running for GOP Leader, thanks, they are much appreciated.
But, listen, this isn’t a funeral. I’ve very pleased with the decision and you can count on me to be even more hard-hitting and I’ll join the other mavericks in our caucus.

Many people have commented and asked for the blog to continue after the election, thinking that I would discontinue it after the results are in… absolutely not! This blog will continue. It has truly reinvigorated me in the political world. Thanks and this blog will absolutely continue into the future.

Why did they have a rally in Mingo Friday night?
What competitive hot race is on the ballot there?
Vic,
Glad to hear this Blog is going to stay active. I look forward to reading you when I get a chance. Keep up the good work and I look foward to your hard hitting in the Senate.
Looking forward to your continued leadership and the Blog.
I look forward to reading your blog even after the election!
Thanks for your work Vic, blog and otherwise. Here on election day, I am hopeful the older straight Democrat ticket pullers are all aging and newer voters that actually think are voting Republican.
