It’s not about who’s excited, it’s about who’s right on the issues. I strongly support Fred Thompson because I’m not looking for a national cheerleader, I’m looking for a President who believes the right things and opposes the wrong things. I want a President who isn’t going to surrender to terrorists in Iraq, Afghanistan, or anywhere else in the world. I’m looking for a President who is going to secure our Mexican border and deport illegals as they are found.

I also want a President who isn’t just going to keep taxes where they are, but eliminate a lot of them and reduce others. I want someone who won’t raise taxes. I want real, free-market solutions to the problems with Social Security, Medicare, and healthcare.

Fred Thompson is that someone. He is a free-market conservative with rock solid values and principles. I don’t give two hoots if he doesn’t make people swoon.

Buddy,

$42 million worth of tax increases as governor of arkansas is not minor, no matter what the whole story is. Hilary is more fiscally conservative than Mike Huckabee. Read a newspaper, or a book- preferably one that is devoid of huckabee campaign propaganda.

While I have no personal connections to Mike Huckabee, from everything I have read about him, he is working to win the nomination, not settle for the VP. I don’t know why people think Romney and Thompson are the only viable candidates. Huckabee is on the move and is now ahead of them. After they get knocked out who are the true consevatives going to support? I can’t understand why people are so excited about Thompson. He’s not even excited. And Romney keeps going down.
Huckabee has more Executive experience than any pres. candidate and again is the only one who has went up against Clintons machine 4 times and won.
His negatives are minor when you know the whole story.

Giuliani is pulling for Huckabee because he is the only top tier candidate he can beat one on one. Huckabee knows he can’t win but if he can knock out Mitt and or Thompson then he could be rewarded with a VP spot on the ticket.

Dick Morris, who is supporting Giuliani and used to work for Huckabee as well as Bill Clinton, suggested a while back he would be getting money into the Huckabee campaign if he were Giuliani.

If you want Giuliani then go ahead and vote for Huckabee but if not support someone who can beat him aka Thompson, Romney or even McCain.

Huckabee is the one. After he wins Iowa(which will effectively knock out Romney), he can set his sights on New Hampshire and the South. He is the only candidate who has ran and won 4 times aginst the Clinton machine in Arkansas.
