Being concerned with someones marriage/divorce statistics is soooo last century.

I thought Ma-maw Pelosi said we weren't supposed to engage in the "politics of personal destruction."

Guess Kabler didn't get the memo.

Vic, What I can't understand is it is not like your clients did not know about your divorce(s), so I am like you I can't understand what Kab is trying to do.
GOD BLESS

Mollohan outdid Sen. Stevens "bridge to nowhere" with his I-79 "bridge FROM nowhere TO nowhere". It has no entires or exits and nothing on either end. Next time you are on I-79 exit and find the ends of this travesty.

Kabler is getting rather creepy with this. I wonder what he'll write when Dan Greear becomes the next AG? I got it:

"Despite having dead weight Republican Senator Vic Sprouse managing his campaign, it seems AG-elect Dan Greear got lucky. Sprouse tried to leave his poor ex-wife and child homeless in the street, but this didn't matter to the idiots who voted for Greear. Several people told me they don't even plan to recognize Greear as the legitimate AG because of Sprouse. If they need to utilize the services of the AG's office, they plan to go to Darrell McGraw's house."

...and you know I'm not far from the truth!

Two things, Vic......
(1)If Phil Kabler didn't view you as a threat to the Democratic machine in WV[ either through your current political office or because of your consulting business] he would likely leave you alone and move on to some other issue. If this is the case, take heart...it means that the liberals still see you as someone of power and influence with the conservatives in WV.
(2)If Kabler can only bring up a years-old divorce issue as the "hottest" scoop on Vic Sprouse, then you're doing pretty well. Most politicians carry far more current "baggage" with them that could be fodder for the editorialists.

You mentioned Phil Reale and former Senator Mike Ross. Neither is lilly white.....and far from it. While I like Mike personally, I found his connection with the Pete Dye Golf Club in Harrison County and his push to have a four-lane highway built from I-79 to its entrance, among other things, to be very unethical! Most of the residents along that road protested the widening and yet it went through with Allan Mollohan's earmarked support without a hitch! Further, the highway is used for a parking lot every time there is a tournament there. And then, there's Mollohan, himself! Talk about earmarks! A 1.5 mile connector from I-79 to downtown Fairmont....$155 million. And, Marion County gets disproportionately far more federal funds directed to it that any other county in WV, except Kanawha, which is the largest in population.
There's alot of rotten fruit to grab that is low-hanging and there for the picking, but folks like Phil Kabler will leave their Democratic buddies alone as long as they can find some stale tidbit to dredge up about guys like you.

Kabler constantly writes about Phil Reale and "bigpharma's" spending on marketing to doctors.

However, since he isn't obsesed with Mr. Reale, he does not mention Reale's other job:

http://www.wvdlc.com/Members/General_Chair.htm

General Chair of the WV DLC, charged with electing more Dems to the legislature.

I personally think the legislature has no right to regulate a drug company's marketing budget, but if the Gazette is on a crusade to use the heavy hand of government to tell Reale's drug companies how to spend their money (or require disclosure), it would be a newsworthy fact that Reale is charged by the Democrat leadership with protecting their positions.

It could even be an embarrasing fact to those who want to run on using tax dollars to buy drugs for people.

Once again, the readers of the Gazette know less about an issue than if they read nothing at all.

No wonder the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette scooped them on the story of the year.
