I’m convinced it is strictly a WV thing. We live in the second poorest state in the nation yet we have a gold-domed Capitol, high-def, flat screen TV’s in the Governor’s Mansion, and now the Governor will have a fancy press conference room. Just a few miles from the Capitol, another WVian is living in a trailer with a dirt yard, but he has a satellite dish and a new truck.

We WVians sure know how to dress up a pile of dogsh**, don’t we?

Ain’t gonna happen.

The Photo Op Joe machine will spring to life flush with all the special interest cash and put on a slick TV commercial spread showing Mojo consoling the dead miners families and delivering gambling money checks to Seniors.

They will run these ads during re-runs of Lawerence Welk, Hee-Haw and wrestling shows locking up the majority Democrat vote.

As I said, he will win and be a lame duck with the new socialists in the Legislature mainly ignoring him.

Russ Weeks, on the other hand, can be a bit abrasive. That could be because Russ pretty much tells it like it is - instead of what he thinks you want to hear.

I’d really love to see Russ win the election just to be able to enjoy the gridlock that would follow in the legislature. He’d be a lot harder for them to deal with than MoJoe is.

He may just make it too. Like Vic mentioned in a previous posting, Barrack Obama is going to lose this state by something like 15%. I don’t like John McCain, but I sincerely hope his coattails help bring Russ into the governor’s office.

Every good Democrat knows business is evil, coal barons run the State and things in WV are not as bad as the numbers show.. we do have a budget surplus so all must be good.

He wins in November and is a lame duck.

If I’ve heard it once, I’ve heard it a thousand times: “Joe is really a Republican, you know”. My stock answer: “he is NOT registered a Republican”. It seems as though that little myth has been put to rest.
