aaron has a great idea. Why is it that people are so scared to protest their party? The Floridian and Michiganite? Democrats are trying to desperately count in their convention. Why do they not just refuse to organize for the candidate if they are not counted? Same with us CONSERVATIVES who have bought into the disatrous repbulican party? Why not send the delegates to the Electoral College to vote for the Constitutional or Libertarian candidate? Both have way more upside than McCain. Good luck WV... your state is struggling already and when the nation begins to bottom out, who do you think will be stuck in the mud?

It has been a long time since I offered comments to this somewhat austere group but I couldn't pass on this opportunity. B.K. refers to the "dumbed down citizenry". There is a logical reason for this ... it's a result of being subjected to "his royal dufus" (aka George W. Bush) for the past 7+ years. That in and of itself is enough to dumb-down anyone. Come on fess-up, all of you who can say with conviction that you've been proud to have Bushie serve as your Commander-in-Chief, please raise your right hand. Careful, someone may be watching.

Say what you like about McCain winning the nomination early and that Obama and Clinton continue to slug it out, come November, not only will we experience a richly deserved Democratic victory (regardless of the party candidate), it will be a historic landslide victory. You can bank on it.

We're doomed. Doesn't matter who wins now. They are all bad choices. I'm going to write my name in come election time. I am so sick of the political process. All it does it produce career politicians. The intent of the forefathers was not what we have now. I feel we would be far and away better if every single office was limited to 1 term, period. And then you go back to whatever your job was before. At least then, if something is going to be done, you have a short period to do it, and then you have to face what you create while in office. Politicians today are like career college students who just keep taking classes and never graduate for fear of the real world.

As dumbed down as the citizenery is....They'll vote for McCain, HIllary or Obama and think that these choices are going to help America.

There is a choice. If the constitution party is on the Ballet in WV, well have a choice of a president candidate who'll truly represent the constitution, limited government, limited taxes, less burden of a government micromanaging business and private lives.

The choice is clear! But the people we argue themselves out of voting for the right person because they'll be voting AGAINST another. Win or Lose I'm voting for the RIGHT person. That's where you start. The two box parties have illustrated that they don't care about the citizens by the candidate choices we have.

I wash my hands of that blood...I will not support the dem or republican presidential candidates as well as many others joining me in this. Call me a kook, but the party lost my vote. I am pursuading msny other republicans to do the same in the community every week. Its time for REAL political change. I'm a kook but my voice for constitutional government isn't going away.

On second thought, maybe I was thinking of Mingo County... yea, thats right. The last Republican was tar and feathered in Mingo County in the 1950's

So I guess there is at least one mean spirited, anti-working man, fat-cat businessman in Wayne County after all.

Wayne County, West Virginia ? Impossible,

You sound like a common sense REPUBLICAN but that can't be. We all know the last Republican in Wayne County, WV was ridden out of town on a rail in the 1950's

Yes Mikey, thats what WV really needs, more welfare dollars so that the nearly 23% of the available workforce (18-65 year olds) who already do not work because they are suitibly subsidized, can improve their lifestyle and afford that new big screen tv and bass boat. By all means what we need is someone in office who can help us compel more of our people to go on the public dol and withdraw from the tax base.
Meanwhile the rest of us will happily go about our business of working every day for wages that are taxed even deeper in order to pay for the increased public welfare bill!

McCain is BAD for West Virginia, read his stance on Global Warming and Energy.

Hillary would be better, at least when she kills the Coal Industry she will pump millions of welfare dollars our way that McCain won't.

I wonder if there's any way McCain can pay to run that exact same 3AM commercial during the general election no matter which Democrat is nominated. It really highlights one of several issues which should discqualifiy either of the Democrats.

I know we disagreed during the primary, but now I'm on board with McCain. Do I agree with him on all the issues? Nope. Do I agree with Obama/Hillary on any issue? Nope. That makes the choice clear for me.

McCain was not my first choice, but he will be my last.

However, my prediction is that Hillary will choose Obama as her VP and they will win in November by at least 10 percentage points. I do not make this prediction with any glee, mind you. As dumbed-down as the citizenry is today, I wouldn't bet against it.
